Brian Wilson is bringing the music of the Beach Boys back on the road.
The singer-songwriter will hit the road for the Something Great From ’68 tour with The Zombies serving as opening act.
After touring the Beach Boys’ 1967 album Pet Sounds, Wilson will move on to featuring songs from the 1968 release Friends.
Notable song from the album include the title track, “Busy Doin’ Nothin'”, and “Little Bird”.
Dates kick off August 31 and run until September 26.
“It’s been quite a year and I’m ready to go out and tour some music that makes everyone have a feel good vibe,” Wilson says in a statement. “The Friends album has always been one of my favorites, and I love the music from that time in history.”
Recent Rock and Roll Hall of Fame inductees the Zombies will also play the group’s 1968 classic, Odessey and Oracle. Founding members Chris White and Hugh Grundy will be part of the band’s line-up.
