The Tragically Hip set out for one last tour in 2016, traveling from the west coast of Canada to their hometown of Kingston, Ontario, for one last hurrah.
The tour announcement came shortly after news broke that frontman Gord Downie was diagnosed with terminal brain cancer.
Thousands of fans got to see their idols one last time, while millions caught the broadcast of the final hometown show, with 1 in 3 Canadians tuning in.
The tour coincided with the release of the band’s 13th studio album, Man Machine Poem.
