Andy Anderson, former drummer of the Cure, has died.
His former bandmate, Lol Tolhurst, confirmed the news. After a battle with terminal cancer, Anderson passed away at 68 years old.
It's with a heavy heart, I have to report the passing of a Cure brother.
Andy Anderson was A true gentleman and a great musician with a wicked sense of humor which he kept until the end, a testament to his beautiful spirit on the last journey. We are blessed to have known him.

Anderson revealed he was at Terminal 4 cancer in a Facebook post earlier this month:

He joined the Cure after Tolhurst moved from drummer to keyboardist after Pornography was released, with his first studio album appearance courtesy of The Tops in 1984.
Anderson also performed with Iggy Pop, Peter Gabriel, and more.
