Yesterday, The Rom-Com That Imagines A World Without The Beatles

What would a world be like without The Beatles? It’s an alternate reality we’re glad we don’t have to wake up in, but a new movie tackles what might happen without “Let It Be” and “Twist and Shout.”

Yesterday centres around Jack Barth (played by Himesh Patel), a musician who gets in an accident and wakes up to find The Beatles never existed, and only he remembers the band. He then starts playing the infamous songs and starts an ascent to superstardom.

The film will also star Lily James, Kate McKinnon, Ed Sheeran, and James Corden.

Yesterday is directed by Academy Award-winning director Danny Boyle (of Slumdog Millionaire fame). The film debuts in theaters on June 28.
