Stevie Wonder will undergo a kidney transplant this September.
The singer-songwriter told the crowd the news during a concert at London’s Hyde Park on Saturday after performing his classic hit “Superstition.” He wanted to make the announcement directly to the crowd before rumours circulated.
“I have a donor and it’s all good,” he told those in attendance.
Wonder, 69, will play three more concerts before the operation. He did not elaborate on the reasons for the transplant.
