Today, The Guess Who and Bachman–Turner Overdrive‘s Randy Bachman turns 74.

The Canadian icon had many hits on his hand throughout the ’60s and the ’70s, with multiple Top 10 hits in his home country. The Guess Who also has the distinction of being the first Canadian group to hit #1 on the US charts with “American Woman” in 1970.
