Watch: Queen Performs At 2019 Oscars, Bohemian Rhapsody Scores Multiple Awards

Queen had a big night at the 91st Academy Awards, while Bohemian Rhapsody won Oscars.

The band opened the hostless ceremony, performing a medley of “We Will Rock You” and “We Are The Champions”. Original members Brian May and Roger Taylor appeared for the performance. Singer Adam Lambert stepped in for the late frontman Freddie Mercury.

Bohemian Rhapsody, the film based on Queen and Mercury’s rise to stardom, also won multiple Oscars, including Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, and Best Editing.

Rami Malek, who portrayed Mercury in Bohemian Rhapsody, also walked away with the Best Actor statue.

Elsewhere in music, Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper won Best Original Song for “Shallow” from A Star Is Born. The pair performed the track live for the ceremony. Other musical performances included Bette Middler, Jennifer Hudson and Gillian Welch with David Rawlings.
