It’s been a long time coming, but the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody could have an infamous fan join the cast.
Deadline reports that Wayne’s World star Mike Myers has been in talks to have a role in the Bryan Singer-directed film. So far, Rami Malek will play late singer Freddie Mercury, Gwilym Lee will play guitarist Brian May, Ben Hardy will take on drummer Roger Taylor and Joe Mazello will the fill the shoes of bassist John Deacon.
Sources speaking to Deadline say the role is unclear.
The move will be a full circle one for Myers: a scene in the 1992 film Wayne’s World featured “Bohemian Rhapsody” and bolstered a second surge of popularity. The 1976 song hit #2 in the U.S. that same year. Myers fought for the song’s inclusion, whereas the studio wanted to go with Guns N’ Roses.
